Quality Guide
At Couture Rugs we are constantly updating our products. Our buyers frequently visit the rug factories in this country and overseas, checking on production, quality and even packaging. All our rugs are made from the highest quality materials and we do not accept anything but a perfect finish.
Each rug is individually checked before despatch and securely wrapped for total protection in transit.
Rug Care
Woollen rugs are liable to shed for a short space of time. This is completely normal, and in no way affects the life of your rug. Occasionally this may also occur in some of our man made fibre rugs and for this shedding we would recommend that you use a low setting on your vacuum rather than full power. With our Shaggy Rugs we recommend that you regularly shake the rug or use a vacuum with a nozzle attachment due to the length of the pile of these particular rugs. If you do have a powerful vacuum we DO NOT recommend that you use it on full power when cleaning any type of rug as the rotating brush cleaner can damage the pile surface.
Spills and Stains
The number one rule for these little accidents is to act fast. Blot up excess spills with a white cloth or paper towel. Once the stain is contained, work from the outer edge to the centre using a clean cloth with mild clear detergent or a good carpet shampoo. On stubborn stains repeat this process. If the stain cannot be removed we advise seeking specialist advise.
Getting the Rug to Lay Flat
The vast majority of our rugs are stored rolled up in their packaging and may not instantly lay flat. This is not a fault with the rug, and after a short length of time the rug will take to its new shape. Sometimes rolling the rug up in the opposite direction and placing it somewhere warm for a couple of days can speed up the process. This may take a few days, as general rule is that the larger the rug the longer it may take to settle.
